What is Tanzania Electronic Visa Application System?
You can now apply for an Online Visa to visit the United Republic of Tanzania (both Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar). You are required to fill in the online form, make payment, and submit your application online. Your form will be internally reviewed and processed.
Applicants will be notified through their e-mails whether their applications have been accepted or rejected. They may also TRACK their application statuses through the Tanzania Electronic Visa Application System. Applicants may as well be required to visit the nearest Tanzanian Embassies or Consular Offices for interviews.
How To Track Tanzania eVisa Application Status?
For applicants who have applied for visas, follow the below steps to check for the statuses.
Step-1 : Go to the link https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/
Step-2 : Enter the Application ID
Step-3 : Enter the Email ID
Step-4 : Select the Security Question
Step-5 : Enter the Security Answer
Step-6 : Click on the link “Check Visa Status”
Visa Terms & Conditions
** All Applicants should be in possession of a passport which have a minimum validity of six month and which has not less than one unused Visa page before Visa application submission;
** Applicants who do not possess their national passports, must indicate their type of passport in the respective field within online application;
** Each Applicant is required to select the right type of Visa. Applying for a wrong type of Visa may lead to rejection;
** Ensure all supporting documents for a particular type of Visa are uploaded in the online application.All Visa application requirements are calculated based on general criteria and can vary due to various factors including but not limited to the information provided by the applicant;
** Applicants are required to lodge Visa applications ten days before their expected date of travel and two months for those persons and applicants whose countries fall under referral Visa category;
** Once the online application form is submitted by the applicant, further modifications are not allowed. Hence applicants are requested to check and validate the details before submitting the online application form;
** In case of Visa rejections, the Immigration Service Department holds the right to give or withhold reasons for rejection to the applicant;
** In case a Visa approval / Grant notification has been issued, the applicant cannot make a request for such approval to be postponed or change the dates stipulated therein for its validity;
** The applicant is not expected to arrive to the United Republic of Tanzania before his / her visa application being approved.If for any reason the applicant arrives before such approval, he / she may be subjected to pay a non – refundable respective Visa fee;
** Upon Visa Grant, an applicant is issued with a Visa Grant Notice which specifies Visa start date and Visa end date, which the holder is required to observe;
** Visa Grant notification is not the final authority to enter the United Republic of Tanzania as it is the Immigration Officer at the entry point who has the final authority on entry decision based on reasonable grounds;
